Charlotte (DeRoss) Greer

Charlotte (DeRoss) Greer, age 73 of Union Twp. and formerly of Clairton, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born July 3, 1943 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Lasich) DeRoss.  A member of St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church in Elrama, Charlotte was employed at her family's Millgate Restaurant in Clairton and was also a member of the Elrama Craft Club.  She is survived by her husband Charles F. Greer; her three children Charles W. (Annette) Greer of Jefferson Hills, Brian Greer of Monessen, and Krissy Greer of Elrama; her four grandchildren Nicholas, Gina, Jordan and Oraia Greer; her siblings Frances (Gary) Pastore of Clearwater, FL, Theresa Vekosky of Jefferson Hills, and John DeRoss of Elizabeth Twp.; and also nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 10:30 AM in St. Isaac Jogues Church, Elrama, with Fr. Richard Tusky officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to St. Clare Cemetery, Clairton.
