Wanda L. (Smith) Tognarina

Wanda L. (Smith) Tognarina, age 76, of Forward Twp., passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Jefferson Hospital. She was a school bus monitor for Laidlaw in Elizabeth. She was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp. She enjoyed playing bingo and dining out with friends and family. Wanda loved everyone and didn't have a mean bone in her body. Born November 21, 1940 in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence W. and Dorothy M. (VanBrocklin) Smith. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jude M. "Mike" Tognarina; daughter, Michelle L. Tognarina of Ross Twp.; son, Bryon J. (Brooke) Tognarina of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Heather, Anthony, Angelina, and Caleb Tognarina; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, William A. Smith, Lawrence W. Smith Jr., and David L. Smith. There will be a Memorial Gathering in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Sunday, April 23, 2017, from 4-6 PM. A Memorial Mass will take place on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp. with the Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.) Private interment in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
