Timothy J. "Tim" Minkus, Sr.

Timothy J. "Tim" Minkus, Sr., age 57 of Liberty Borough, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017.  Born January 28, 1960 in McKeesport, he was a son of Susan (Bury) Minkus of Port Vue and the late Harold Minkus.  A former melter for US Steel's Edgar Thompson Works, Tim was a graduate of South Allegheny High School and a member of St. Mark's Parish.  In his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman and bicyclist.  Tim is survived by his wife Patricia (Pazuchanics) Depoe Minkus; his children Timothy J. Minkus, Jr., Taylor Minkus, and Tara (Ryan) Ferguson; his grandchildren Marissa and Mackenzie; his siblings Ronald (Susan) Minkus and Debra (Russ) Messinger; and his step-daughters Emile (Brian) Henze and Rev. Rebecca Depoe.  Besides his father, Tim was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Minkus.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 PM until a 7:30 PM Blessing, in the funeral home, with Fr. Daniel Straughn officiating.  Interment will be private.  Memorial contributions in Tim's name should be made to the Mon Yough Trail Council, PO Box 14, McKeesport, PA 15135.
