Alice Orosz Hronakes

Alice Orosz Hronakes, age 84, of White Oak, and formerly of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian. She was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in White Oak and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved her painting and reading. Born October 21, 1931 in Duquesne, she was a daughter of the late Nikolas and Helen Orosz and wife of the late John A. Hronakes. She is survived by son, George N. (Mike Dovalis) Hronakes; daughters, Kathy (Tom) Cain, Mary Lynn (Raymond) Yurko, and Christine (Bill) Andrejko; grandchildren, Ashley (Richard) Paradise and Johnny Yurko; sister, Evelyn "Toots" Coughlin; sisters-in-law, Josie Orosz and Alba Hronakes; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Orosz. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10 AM in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Fr. Michael Kallaur officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
