Steven R. Currin

Steven R. Currin, age 54 and born July 8, 1972, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026.  He was the son of Patty (Palmer) and George R. Currin, Jr. of West Newton.

Steven worked for 35 years in the security field, most recently with Allied Security as a guard at Synthomer (formerly Eastman) Chemical Resins in West Elizabeth.  He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and unwavering commitment to those around him.  Respected by colleagues and supervisors alike, Steven was often the person others turned to when challenges arose.  A natural problem solver, he took pride in assisting others and was always willing to share information, guidance, and resources whenever he could.  

Steven treasured his family above all else.  Besides his parents, he leaves behind his beloved fiancee and life partner Bobbie Curry and his cherished daughter Elizabeth who brought immense joy to his life.  He is also survived by his sister Yvonne (Wayne) Tolomeo of Jefferson Hills, his niece Megan (Anson) Dykes, his nephew Wesley Currin, his great-nephews Drason and Radley, and a large extended family of Currin and Palmer relatives.  Steven was preceded in death by his brother Aaron Currin.  

Steven will be remembered for his generous spirit, quiet strength, and the positive impact he made on the lives of those who knew him.  He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, service, and dedication that will not be forgotten.  Funeral arrangements are private at the request of the family and in the care of the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.
