Shirley Ann Capicotto, age 93, of Elrama, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, at Mon Valley Care Center. She was a member of St. John the 23rd Parish, St. Isaac Jogues Church in Elrama, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Ladies’Auxiliary at Elrama Volunteer Fire Co. Born December 19, 1931 in Monongahela, she was a daughter of the late Patrick Irvin and Mary (Shanonberger) Smith and wife of the late Emil Capicotto. She is survived by daughter, Traci (the late Frank) Szubra of Jefferson Hills; sons, Ronald E. Capicotto of Elrama, Richard I. (the late Marcy) Capicotto of California, PA, and Randy L. (Tammy) Capicotto of Gillette, WY; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Linda (Dave) Smith Stiteller of Belfair, WA; brother, Thomas A. (Carrie) Smith of Finleyville; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth, on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Isaac Jogues Church.
