Sharyn A. (Smouse) Mahoney

Sharyn A. Mahoney, age 81 of McKeesport, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at South Hills Acute Care, Bethel Park.  Born September 7, 1944 in Wilkinsburg, she was a daughter of the late Eugene G. and Marcella A. (McCue) Smouse.  A retired food service worker at UPMC McKeesport, Sharyn spent her retirement actively enjoying life, sunbathing, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.  She is survived by her children Yvonne L. (Matt) Krason of West Newton and Chris (Penny) Mahoney of Monongahela; her grandchildren Cody Krason and Piper Mahoney; and also nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Sharyn was preceded in death by her sister Sandra Braun.  Funeral arrangements will be private at the request of the family and in the care of the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles.  Her family would like to give a special thanks to Amanda and the staff of Gallagher Hospice.
