Sharlene M. (Moxin) Lazar

Sharlene M. Lazar, age 87, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital. She was a retired sales representative for Avon. She was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Clairton, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, and was a former member and tour director of Wilson AARP. Born February 28, 1935 in Greensburg, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Hyjurick) Moxin and wife of the late John F. "Jack" Lazar. She is survived by daughter, Kathleen Sorton of Elizabeth Twp.; son, Daniel Lazar of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Larry Sorton of Scott Twp., Sarah Smith of Elizabeth and Emily Sorton of Elizabeth Twp.; five great-grandchildren; also, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 3 PM until the time of Panachida at 5 PM with the Rev. Ivan Mina officiating. Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery, Clairton.
