Sean Patrick Ward

Sean Patrick Ward, age 50, of South Park and formerly of Clairton, fought the brave fight for many years and is now at rest: passing away on Saturday,, February 6, 2021.  Sean is survived his wife, Christina Ward (née Berresford); his son, Ian James Ward of Allison Park; his mother Ida (DiMattia) Ward; his sister, Cristina (John) Cercone of Economy Borough; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He is predeceased by his father George P. Ward, and grandparents: Thomas and Anna Ward and Emilio and Ada DiMattia.  Sean was born April 19, 1970 to George and Ida Ward. He graduated from St. Vincent College (where he met his wife) with a Bachelor's Degree in History and worked in the Customer Relations Department for PNC Bank.  Always a kid at heart, Sean will be remembered for his wit, sarcasm, and humor (all of which he clearly inherited from his father and passed on to his son).  There will be no services at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Sean’s name to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, 1 N. Linden St., Duquesne, PA 15110.  Arrangements by the A. J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.
