Ruth Elizabeth (Baker) Schnur

Ruth Elizabeth (Baker) Schnur, age 79, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at UPMC East. She was a retired aide for Soltis Personal Care Home in Clairton and a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church. She loved her family, grandkids and great-grandkids. Born September 10, 1940 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Bush) Baker and wife of the late Duane F. Schnur. She is survived by daughter, Diane (Harold "Bugs") Michaels of Elizabeth; sons, Paul (Rita) Schnur of Rostraver Twp. and George (Lisa) Schnur of Elizabeth; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Chuck Baker of Pittsburgh and Jerry (Patricia) Baker of Pittsburgh; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Patrick Schnur, and brother, William Baker. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral and burial are private. In order to comply with Covid-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to 25 people at any given time inside the funeral home. Guests are required to wear masks and follow CDC social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to limit your visiting time so that all guests will have an opportunity to pay their respects. The family would like to express their understanding to those who are unable to attend due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
