Roy Dennis Opfar, age 70, of Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Jefferson Hospital. A member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, he retired as a medical records representative for UPMC in Pittsburgh and was a bus monitor in the Elizabeth Forward School District for special needs students, for whom he had a great deal of love. Born May 3, 1954 in McKeesport, he was a son of Wilma (Salzer) Opfar of Lincoln and the late Theodore Opfar. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Theodore (Sharon) Opfar of Versailles, John (Kim) Opfar of Jefferson Hills, Tracy Opfar of Elizabeth, Billie Jo Kurta of Clairton, Karen (Chris) Davis of Canonsburg and Kevin (Lisa) Opfar of Lincoln; also, nieces and nephews. No visitation is planned. A memorial service will take place at Elizabeth Baptist Church, 735 Bunola River Road, Elizabeth on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 2 PM with Pastor Jeff Riker officiating.
