Ronald L. Van Fossen

Ronald L. Van Fossen, age 82, of Elizabeth, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Jefferson Hospital. He retired as a high school math teacher in the Canon-McMillian School District, where he was a former head coach for the baseball team. He was also a former head coach for a team in the Daily News League and an American Legion team. He was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp. Born April 16, 1939 in Bunola, he was a son of the late Harry E. and Stella M. (Cheskawich) Van Fossen. He is survived by his siblings, Arlene Van Fossen, Nancy (Larry) Boal, William (Maryanne) Van Fossen and Dennis (Roslyn Bernosky) Van Fossen, all of Elizabeth; also, cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Harry Van Fossen Jr. No visitation is planned. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11 AM in St. Michael Church with the Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
