Ronald E. Satterfield

Ronald E. Satterfield, age 81, of Elizabeth, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, August 2, 2018 in Jefferson Hospital. A retired inventory manager at West Elizabeth Lumber Company, Ron also worked at Giant Eagle in Elizabeth. He was a former president of the Blaine Hill Fire Hall and a former member of the Elizabeth Lions Club. Born June 5, 1937 in Elizabeth, he was a son of the late Clyde and Bessie (Thompson) Satterfield and husband of the late Bonnie J. (Holmes) Satterfield. He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda J. (John) Jarvis of Elizabeth Twp.; son, Ronald E. "Sammy" Satterfield of Elizabeth; four grandchildren, Johnny (Kelly) Jarvis of Elizabeth Twp., Jennifer (Wade) Galloway of Elizabeth Twp., Jeff (April) Turner of Elizabeth Twp., and Shaina (Jeff Tschudi) Satterfield of Elizabeth; four great-grandchildren, Elijah, Cayle, Ryder and Blaze; also, nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lyda Poling and Ruth Ann Werner and brothers, Clyde M., Robert G. and Donald H. Satterfield. No visitation is scheduled. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Private burial in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
