Robert A. Slavick

Robert A. Slavick, age 88 of Forward Twp., passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Mon Valley Care Center, Monongahela. Catholic by faith, he was a member of St. Isaac Jogues Church in Elrama for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved going up to the cabin he built in Tionesta. He worked for 45 years for West Elizabeth Lumber. Born in Elizabeth on July 12, 1935, he was a son of the late Andrew and Pauline (Smith) Slavick and husband of the late Grace (Elesie) Slavick, who passed away December 11, 2020. He is survived by two children, Karen (Kevin Bleil) Slavick and Ronald (Cindi Patterson) Slavick both of Elizabeth Twp,; a granddaughter, Julie (Phil) Wallace of Diamond, OH; 4 great-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sister, Leona Brozovich. Friends will be received at the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 12Noon on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, with Fr. Pierre Falkenhan officiating. Burial will follow at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
