Robert D. Nicklow Sr., age 90, of Forward Twp., passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Jefferson Hospital. A 1952 graduate of Dunbar Township High School, he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Monongahela and a faithful servant of the Lord. As an Evangelist, he did missionary work in the United States, Canada, and South America. He was a former employee of U.S. Steel Clairton Works’ engineering department and a former member of the Clairton and Jefferson Hills Auxiliary Police departments. He retired as an insurance agent for American General Life Insurance Company in White Oak. Born January 18, 1935 in Phillips, PA, he was a son of the late Arthur and Edith Paloma (Stull) Nicklow. He is survived by his wife, Pamela J. (Rimel) Nicklow; daughters, Bonnie S. (Alan) Metzler of Columbus, Ohio, Robin D. (James Sr.) Burns of Troy, NC and Tamara A. Morle of Detroit, MI; sons, Robert D. (Chris) Nicklow Jr. of Monongahela and Daniel J. (Marnie) Nicklow of Monongahela; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Leah Nicklow of Connellsville; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Harry, Donald, Stanton and Melvin Nicklow; sister, Geraldine E. Lenhart; first wife, Nancy Ann Nicklow, and second wife, Margaret “Alice” Nicklow. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service in the funeral home chapel will be Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 10 AM with Evangelist Robert Nicklow Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Native American Missionary Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ, 525 6th Street, Monongahela, PA 15063.
