Peter R. "Bob" Schepis, age 101 of Clairton, peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home on Friday, June 19, 2026. Born February 4, 1925 in Punxsutawney, PA, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Angelina (Palmer) Schepis, and the loving husband of the late Rose “Rowie” M. (Scarlato) Schepis. Peter worked and retired from both the U.S Postal Service as a Postman and the Clairton Fire Department as Captain. Peter was a parishioner of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, and a proud World War II veteran. An active member of the Lions Club and the American Legion, Daniel Keffer Post #75 of Clairton, and a former president of the Wilson Civic Association. He is survived by his daughters Bernadette S. Howard of Mechanicsburg, PA and Denise Schepis of Vero Beach, FL; his son Peter R. (Terri) Schepis Jr. of Bel Air, MD; his Grandchildren Rachel (Gary) Burns, Sara (Nathan) Schepis, and the late Tony Schepis, Justin (Lynn) Howard, Jarrod (Jessica) Howard, and Jennifer (Jacob) Weaver; his Great-Grandchildren Joseph and Nicholas Burns, Gabby and Anthony Schepis, Noah, Riley, Wyatt, Levi, Lilly, Ava, Holden, and Charlotte Howard and Aleena Mohr, he is survived by many nieces and nephews as well. In addition to his parents, wife and grandson, Peter was preceded in death by his Sisters Rose DaBaldo, Theresa Schepis, Margaret Rich, and Frances Straub; his brother Frank Schepis. A special thanks to Peters nephew James Bayto for great companionship and care. Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 2PM-4PM, and 6PM-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 10AM in St. Clare of Assisi Parish with Father Paul Zywan officiating. Burial will follow in St. Clare Cemetery, Clairton.
