Patrick J. Evans, age 71 of North Huntingdon and formerly of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born March 27, 1952 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Edward E. and Virginia (Calvert) Evans. After graduating from California University of Pennsylvania, Patrick was a successful businessman working in sales for Consolidated Graphics Communications for 45 years and was a co-founder of Mount Vernon Healthcare assisted living facilities in Elizabeth Township and South Park. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in North Huntingdon.
For Pat, life was a celebration and family meant everything to him. He loved to travel with his family (especially to Hilton Head and Disney World), to attend his grandchildren's sporting events and performances, and to dance with his truly beloved late wife of 46 years, Barbara K. (Kish) Evans, who he now joins.
In his spare time, he also enjoyed running.
Patrick will be remembered as a man who loved to laugh and have a good time. He always made sure that everyone was taken care of and he would do anything for anyone (but especially for his family). He never missed a chance to tell you that he loved you. He is survived by his children Laura (Kevin) Ward of Gibsonia, Brian (Theresa) Evans of North Huntingdon, Maggie (Brian) Carlton of North Huntingdon, and Elizabeth (Adam) Holy of Wexford, his grandchildren (to whom he was lovingly referred to as "Bubba") Benjamin and Zachary Ward, Katelyn and Madelyn Evans, Miles Carlton, and Avery Holy; his brothers Edward (Jean) Evans of Chicago, Michael (Camille) Evans of Upper St. Clair, and Thomas (Mary) Evans of Rostraver Twp.; and also cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Monday, February 5, 2024 from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 9:30 AM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Procession and burial will follow to Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
