Michael Charles Popko, age 68, of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Jefferson Hospital. He was a retired electronics technician for US Steel Clairton Works. He was a member of House of Faith - The Barn in West Newton where he was very active, and he loved antique cars and restoration. Born December 30, 1955 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Michael J. and Anna (Kedulich) Popko. He is survived by his sisters, Michelle (Tim) Pryzbylski of Elizabeth Twp. and Patricia (Paul) Waronsky of Elizabeth Twp.; brother, Gregory W. (Karen) Popko of Pittsburgh; nephew, Brian Pryzbylski; niece, Kristina (Blake) Papalia of West Palm Beach, FL; great-nephew, Jordan (Megan Cartia) Tour; great-niece, Gianna Tour; dear friend, Dan Wood of Pittsburgh; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by niece, Jennifer Tour. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 3-7 PM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Conrad Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the House of Faith, 111 Taylor Road, West Newton, PA 15089.
