Michael R. Holliday

Michael R. "Mickey" Holliday, age 69, of Elizabeth, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at home. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a retired carpenter for Local 230. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing, and was always woodworking on projects at home. Born July 5, 1953 in Monongahela, he was a son of the late Kenneth W. and Elsie (Sharpnack) Holliday. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Stephen) Ziacan of Elizabeth; son, Joshua (Tiffaney Chapman) Holliday of Elizabeth; former wife, Joann Holliday of Arizona; grandchildren, Mason, Austin, Sway and Joss; siblings, Gayle Bleil of Elizabeth, Cindy (Tony) Theodori of Uniontown, Thomas Holliday of New York, David Holliday of Elizabeth Twp. and Rick (Norma) Holliday of Elizabeth; sister-in-law, Debbie Holliday; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Pust and Carol Dodd, and brothers, William Scott Holliday and Kenneth “Lynn” Holliday. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 4-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Friday, September 30, 2022 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jude Urso officiating.
