Michael Robert Green

Michael Robert Green, age 77 of Clairton, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.  Born October 27, 1946 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Salem M. and Audrey (Verbanes) Green.  An extremely talented musician, Michael played trumpet with many famous musicians, including Johnny Mathis when he was only 16 years old.  He was also a member of the popular LA Band, The Sods.  He is survived by his son Michael (Kristy Whetsell) Green of McKeesport and their children Zoe Green and Andrew and Noah Whetsell; his sister Marsha (William) Cudlipp and their children Michelle (Steve) Tart and Amy Lynn, Robert (Marnie), Heath (Jennifer), and Timothy (Paula) Huschak.  Funeral arrangements for Michael will be private at the convenience of the family and in the care of the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.
