Matthew M. Barna Jr.

Matthew M. Barna Jr., age 75, of Glassport, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 at Jefferson Hospital. He was a retired coiler for U.S. Steel Irvin Works and an avid sports fan who loved major league baseball, hockey and football. Born February 5, 1946 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Metro M. and Nettie (Boal) Barna. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ethel M. (Clawson) Barna; son, Richard T. Barna of Glassport; sisters, Marlene Murphy of Fredricksburg, VA and Christine Reynolds of White Oak; brother, Samuel (Robin) Barna of Monessen; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Patricia Gouker. Visitation is private. No services are planned. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
