Mary Lou Alfonsi

Mary Lou Alfonsi, age 68 of Clairton, passed away at home on Saturday, August 23, 2025.  Born May 17, 1957 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Italo and Giuseppina (DiMarco) Alfonsi.  A member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish - St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton, Mary Lou worked as a former supervisor of housing development for the Urban Housing Authority and also worked as a schoolteacher at St. Clare School and a Home Base Instructor.  She is survived by her sister Teresa (Rocco) Marzo of Geneva, Switzerland, her niece Pina (Marius) Marzo, her nephew Marco Marzo, her great-nephew-and-niece Ethan and Giulia, her close cousin Diane Black, her dear friend/sister Denise Longo, her cat Kenzie, and also other cousins.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Domenico Alfonsi and her beloved dog Mugsy.  Funeral arrangements for Mary Lou were private at the request of the family and in the care of the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.
