Mary (Maple) VanFosson

Mary (Maple) VanFosson, age 88, of Elizabeth, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at home. She was a former member Elizabeth Wesleyan Church where she was a pianist. Born November 11, 1935 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (McKay) Maple and wife of the late William H. VanFosson. She is survived by daughter, Bonnie Jo VanFosson of Elizabeth; son, William C. "Butch" (Dorree Gedekoh) VanFosson of Elizabeth; grandchild, Troy (Barbra) VanFosson of Elizabeth Twp.; step-grandchild, Allison (Anthony) Hertzig of Boston; great-grandchildren, Memphis and Stephen VanFosson; step-great-grandchildren, Presley, Julian and Dax Hertzig; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters. No visitation is planned. Private funeral service with Pastor Jeff Riker officiating and burial in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
