Mary Lynne (Naccarato) Herrara

Mary Lynne (Naccarato) Herrara, age 65 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026.  Born May 31, 1961 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Dolores (Matzus) Naccarato.  Mary graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School in 1979 and West Penn Nursing School in 1982.  She began her nursing career at West Penn Hospital and spent most of her professional life working in utilization review.  Mary enjoyed traveling and visited many places throughout her life, including Peru, Mexico, Paris, and Iceland.  She was also a devoted animal lover who opened her home to many animals over the years and supported local animal shelters and rescue organizations.  Mary is survived by her siblings, Anthony (Kelly) Naccarato of Mechanicsville, VA, Vicki (Patrick Houy) Naccarato of Clairton, and Nick Naccarato of Elizabeth Twp.; her nephews, Noah, Jesse (Shanna), Zac (Lauren), and Jake Naccarato; her niece, Riley (Tyler Marrow) Naccarato; her seven great nephews and niece: Colton, Remmington, Leo, Korey, Dominic, Joey, and Mia; and her beloved cats.  Mary will be remembered for her caring nature, her love of travel, her compassion for animals, and the love she shared with her family and friends.  Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 2 PM until a 3 PM Blessing with Deacon Dale DiSanto officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal shelter in Mary’s memory, such as White Oak Animal Safe Haven at whiteoakanimalsafehaven.com or Animal Friends at thinkingoutsidethecage.org
