Mary Madeline (Albensi) Brkovich
Obituary
Mary M. Brkovich, age 95 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023 at Sunrise of Upper St. Clair. She retired as a clerk in the accounting department of ADTRANZ (a.k.a Bombardier and Westinghouse) in West Mifflin. Mary was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Christy Park, the Christian Mothers and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America.
In addition to her parents, Orlando and Filomena Albensi, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Brkovich, Sr., and her siblings, August, Jean, Helen and Phil.
Mary is survived by her three children, George (Antoinette) Brkovich of Harmony, PA, Diane (Leandro) Fina of Perryopolis, PA and Joseph (Audrey) Brkovich of Frederick, MD; her six grandchildren, Andrea (Alan), Stefano (Ashley), Valerie, Sean (Jessica), Mark and Thomas; two great grandchildren, Giuliana and Luka; sisters-in-law, Catherine and Loretta; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles, on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 5 PM until 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 9:30 AM in Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Michael's Church, Elizabeth Twp., with Fr. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. Procession and burial will follow to Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
