Martha C. (Geletko) Pastorik

Martha C. Pastorik, age 97 of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born November 16, 1922 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Matilda (Lesko) Geletko.  A devout member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton and its former Christian Mothers Association, Martha was an excellent seamstress and, more importantly, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years John W. Pastorik, who passed away on April 7, 2009, and her seven older siblings.  Martha is survived by her daughters Jean (Warren) Stoffer of Canonsburg, Nancy Sims of Clairton, and Louise (James) Ganss of Decatur, TN; her son John (Becky) Pastorik of Punta Gorda, FL; her six grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 4 PM to 8 PM.  Only twenty-five people will be permitted at a time; masks are required; CDC and State guidelines will be observed; and social distancing will be enforced on funeral home property.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 10 AM in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare Site, Clairton with Fr. Kenneth Kezmarsky officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to St. Clare Cemetery, Clairton.
