Marie F. (Brenning) Giel

Marie F. (Brenning) Giel, age 77, of Elizabeth, formerly of Jefferson Borough, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at UPMC Shadyside. She was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth,Twp. She had a blue belt in Taekwondo and loved gardening, sewing and crafting. Born May 14, 1947 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Frances M. (Kredatus) Brenning and wife of the late Daniel A. Giel. She is survived by sons, Dennis R. (Jayme) Giel of Elizabeth and Daniel Giel of Elizabeth; grandchildren, Kylie, Gianna, Andrew and Emily; numerous brothers and sisters; special friend, Amber Black; also, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Andrew Giel. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10 AM in St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church with the Rev. Thomas J. Burke officiating. Private burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
