Marianne (Polito) Chessin

Marianne (Polito) Chessin, age 71, of Elizabeth and formerly of Greenfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15, 2026 in Jefferson Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was a former employee of Hangers Prosthetics in the finishing department and a former employee in the billing department in the office of Dr. Ambaram V. Chauhan. She loved crossword puzzles and will be remembered by all as a person of kindness, faith, and deep commitment to her family. Born March 22, 1955 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ann (Orlando) Polito and the wife of loving husband David Chessin with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage on August 6, 2026. In addition to her husband, she was the loving mother to Loni (Chris) Kelly of North Versailles and Matt (Erin Heyz) Chessin of Elizabeth Twp.; devoted Nana to Hailey Rossman, who was the pride and joy of her life; cherished sister to Cathy (Donald) Balzer of Pittsburgh and Tom (Sherri) Polito of Pittsburgh; and was adored by nieces, nephews, and her sister-in-law, Bonnie Pollock. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to defray funeral expenses.
