Madeline (Hunt) Phillips

Madeline (Hunt) Phillips, age 91, of Forward Twp., passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Jefferson Hospital. She retired as a consultant for Congoleum in Trenton, NJ. She was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp. and enjoyed playing Bingo and shopping with her daughter. Born April 18, 1928 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Regis and Anne V. (Banavich) Hunt and wife of the late George J. Phillips. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Eric) Newmeyer of Forward Twp.; brother, Joseph (Carol) Hunt of Washington; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Maurice and Eugene Hunt. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 10 AM in St. Michael Parish with the Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
