Lois Jean Adamson
Obituary
Lois Jean Adamson, age 73 of Clairton, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at home. Born October 4, 1949 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Agnes (Pry) Hancher. Lois Jean was a 1967 graduate of Clairton High School and received a Medical Assistant Associate Degree from Community College of Allegheny County. Lois Jean worked for the former Pittsburgh Heart & Vascular Assoc. and was a member of the Pine Run Methodist Church. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Post 803 of Clairton. Lois Jean is survived by her husband George; her daughter Kelly Adamson, her son Kenneth James "Addy" Adamson; her sister-in-law Dolores Pry; and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by her brothers Ken Hancher and James Pry, her half-sister Caroline Curry, and her half-brother Robert Hancher. Special thanks to Jessica, Dawn, Molly and Melanie of OPSTA Hospice. Services will be private at the request of the family. Arrangement made by the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.
