LeRoy V. Verbanes

LeRoy V. “Skeets” Verbanes, age 91, of North Huntingdon and formerly of Clairton, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at home. He was a retired carpet installer with the Floor Coverers Union in Pittsburgh, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and he liked to work in his garden. Born April 6, 1934, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late John and Marcella (Marath) Verbanes. He is survived by his wife, Sharon L. (Riley) Verbanes; daughter, Lori A. (Thomas) Beckowitz of North Huntingdon; son, Mark (Lisa) Verbanes of West Elizabeth; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Dobransky; four sisters, and one brother. A private memorial gathering and service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
