Judith "Judy" (Detweiler) Pavlecic, age 73 of McKeesport, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Born April 18, 1953, in Port Vue, Judy was a 1971 graduate of South Allegheny High School and earned an Associate Degree from Bradford Business School. Judy previously worked for Super Dollar, Marsh & McLennan, Youghiogheny Country Club, and for Westinghouse Electric Company where she retired after 40 years as an Advanced Administrative Assistant, Training Liaison, and Conference Liaison.
She served as a CCD Communion Class teacher at the former Sacred Heart Church in McKeesport and later Saint Martin de Porres Parish. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Choir and held leadership roles within the McKeesport Croatian Singing Society. Her love of music began in her youth as a member of the McKeesport Junior Tamburitzans and continued throughout her life as a singer, officer, and member of Penn Sembles. She was also a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union, CFU Lodge 146.
She is survived by her daughter Nicole (Ben) Cable of North Huntingdon; grandson Ethan Cable; her siblings Gail Detweiler-Shostak of Burgettstown, and James Detweiler of West Mifflin, nieces and nephews, friends and extended family members. Judy was preceded in death by her brother William Detweiler.
Judy’s favorite thing was being called “Frannie” by her grandson, Ethan, and spending time with him.
