Joseph L. Mundorff, age 89, of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Baldwin Health Center. He was a retired steelworker at U.S. Steel Clairton Works and a U.S. Army veteran who formerly served as an honor guard for President Dwight D. Eisenhower. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Born July 6, 1935, in Bolivar, he was a son of the late William and Mabel (Fletcher) Mundorff. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Jane (Ofcharik) Mundorff; sons, Rich Mundorff of Canonsburg and Ronald Mundorff of Belle Vernon; grandchildren, Tyler, Jaylene and Ryan Mundorff; also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 3-7 PM. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 10AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Matt Fricker officiating. Private burial at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vitalant Pittsburgh Blood Donation Center, 4701 Baptist Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.
