John F. Verlich, Jr., age 73 of Clairton, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. Born November 10, 1952 in McKeesport, he is a son of the late John F. Verlich, Sr. and Vivien Irene (Whittman) Verlich. A retired plumber with Mongiovi Plumbing, John was a Clairton High School graduate, Class of 1970, where he played trombone in the marching and stage bands. When he was fourteen, John performed on the Ted Mack Amateur Hour in New York City with the "Tijuana Teens" from Clairton. In his spare time, John was also an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife Debbra (Rogone) Verlich; his twin daughters Rebecca and Bethany Verlich of Clairton; his grandchildren Kara, Jaison, Christopher, Vincent, and Michaela Verlich; his four great-grandchildren; and his brother Dennis Verlich of Marietta, OH. At the request of John's family, funeral arrangements are private and in the care of the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton.
