John Naspinski Obituary

John J. “Jake” Naspinski, age 79, of Eighty Four passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026. A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a member of St. John the 23rd Parish, St. Francis Church in Finleyville. He retired as a computer programmer analyst at Consol Energy. He liked to travel, enjoyed horse racing at the Meadows, playing the lottery, and loved all Pittsburgh sports as well as Penn State football. Following his retirement from Consol, his love of sports led him to serving as an usher at Heinz Field. He was a comedian, jokester and the bright light in any room. He was always ready to help anyone at anytime, whether it was family, friends or strangers. He was the best guy in the world. Born August 11, 1946 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late John C. and Theresa (Topoleski) Naspinski. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jessica (Gabauer) Naspinski; daughter, Marissa Esguerra of Baltimore, MD; son, Gabriel (Isa) Naspinski of Tampa, FL; grandson, Mateo Jake Naspinski of Tampa, FL; sisters, Ruth Chan of Rostraver Twp. and Michaeline (Charlie) Princell of Elon, NC; also, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Naspinski. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 1-4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 13, 2026 at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church with the Rev. David Perry officiating. Private burial in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. The family would like to thank the Medical ICU and 4 North at Jefferson Hospital for his excellent care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a hospice or charity of one’s choice.
