Jack R. McCombs

Jack R. McCombs, age 96, of Monongahela, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at South Hills Post Acute in Bethel Park. An army veteran of World War II, he retired as a brakeman for McKeesport Connecting Railroad and attended the former Elizabeth Wesleyan Church. Born October 31, 1928, in Dravosburg, he was a son of the late Frank and Mae (Carter) McCombs and husband of the late Carolyn M. (Booth) McCombs. He is survived by his daughter, Janae (James) Potter of Hamlet, IN; three grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Sue Dell, and siblings, Lloyd, Roy, Ralph, Vance, Ethel, Grace, Margaret and Lila. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for the loving care and friendship they showed us and our dad. No visitation or services are planned. Burial will be Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 10 a.m. in Round Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
