Irene B. (Toth) Fera

Irene B. Fera, age 91 of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in Lawson's Nursing Home in Jefferson Hills.  Born January 12, 1928 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Knapp) Toth.  A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton and retired waitress at Mowry's Restaurant in Pleasant Hills, Irene was preceded in death by her husbands Harry Minjock, Jr. (who died November 14, 1964) and Nicholas Fera (who died June 21, 1983;) her daughter Barbara Ann Minjock (who died December 17, 1964;) and her brothers John, Bernard, and Thomas Toth.  She is survived by her brother Raymond (Patty) Toth of Martinsburg, WV; her nieces and nephews; and her dear friend and caregiver Paul S. Julian of Clairton.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 2 PM to 6 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 10 AM in St. Clare of Assisi Church with burial and procession to follow to Ascension Cemetery, Clairton.  Memorial contributions should be made to St. Clare of Assisi Parish, 460 Reed St., Clairton, PA 15025.  Irene's family and friends would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Lawson's Nursing Home for their exemplary efforts in helping care for Irene.
