Obituary
Herbert C. Petticord Sr., age 84, of Monessen, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at home. He retired as a self-employed general contractor. Born August 3, 1938 in Wilkinsburg, he was a son of the late Violet Osftin. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rita Ann (Domer) Petticord: children, Herbert C. (Michelle) Petticord Jr. of Bayou Vista, TX, Leslie (Brien) Savko of Daisytown, Lynette Petticord of Florida, Dawn (James) Holgerson of Jefferson Hills and Sherry (Daniel) Sabatasso of Missouri; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by siblings, Don, Lee, Joseph and Faye. No visitation is planned. A funeral service will take place on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 12 Noon in the chapel at Round Hill Cemetery with the Rev. John Pope officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
