Helen Ferketic

Helen Ferketic, age 94 of Greenock, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 in Gilchrist Center Hospice in Towson, MD.  Born January 17, 1926 in Versailles, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Amelia (Skobar) Frketic.  A member of St. Michael's Parish in Elizabeth Twp. and the CFU Lodge #146 of Versailles, Helen worked at the McKee Stewart Co. for 35 years and with Ruben Furniture for 27 years.  She is survived by her sister Betty Oeler of Towson, MD, nieces Kathleen Fagan and Karla Oeler, and nephew Robert Fagan.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Kathryn Fagan.  There is no visitation for Helen.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 9:30 AM in St. Michael's Church, Elizabeth Twp., with Fr. Thomas Wagner officiating.  Procession and burial will follow to Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.  Memorial contributions in Helen's name should be made to Gilchrist Center, 555 W. Towson Blvd., Towson, MD 21204.  Arrangements by the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home and Crematory, Versailles.
