Gerald Hochman

Gerald Hochman, age 79 of McKeesport, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.  Born April 1, 1947 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Thomas and Tillie (Lebowitz) Hochman.  A graduate of Penn State, Gerald worked at ELG (formerly Steelmet) in Port Vue.  In his spare time, he loved to cycle and was an avid fan of boxing.  He will be remembered as a loving husband and an amazing father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.  Gerald is survived by his wife of 56 years Deanna (Paterra) Hochman; his children Jason Hochman and Jill (Dylan) Hochman Wilson; his granddaughter Elizabeth Wilson; his siblings Richard (Shirley) Hochman, Judith (Linda) Young, and Deborah Sue Hochman; his sister-in-law Denise Paterra Glick; and many nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Howard (Sharon) Hochman and Lawrence Hochman.  Funeral arrangements for Gerald are private and in the care of the Daniel F.
