George L. Becker Jr.

George L. Becker Jr., age 94, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at home. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he was a retired carpenter with Local 432 and a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp. Born September 8, 1928 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late George L. Becker Sr. and the late Helen (Gruber) Becker. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Helen M. (Mikszan) Becker; daughters, Dolores (Gary) Bell of Charlotte, NC, Patricia (Larry) Vavrek of Estero, FL, Carol Karabinos of Pittsburgh, Charlene (Rege) McDonough of Cincinnati, OH, Mary Chuderewicz of Pittsburgh and Lynn (Eric) Damico of Jefferson Hills; sons, Lawrence (Sherry) Becker of Colorado Springs, CO, Daniel (significant other Robin) Becker of Lancaster, Henry (Lorra) Becker of Denver, CO, Ronald Becker of Plattsburg, NY, Kenneth (significant other Kathy Gomez) Becker of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and George (significant other Sheila) Becker of Jefferson Hills; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; special friend of the family, Skip Messinger; sister, Mary Helen Rectenwald of Duluth, MN; brothers, Cornelius (Joan) of Pittsburgh, William (Shirley) of Pittsburgh, Thomas (Judy) of Castle Rock, CO; also, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 12 Noon in St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church with the Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills.
