Franklin Campbell Obituary

Franklin C. Campbell, age 80, of Elizabeth, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Grandview Estates of Elizabeth. He was a retired stocker for 40 years at U.S. Steel, Irvin Works in West Mifflin, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of the former West Elizabeth United Methodist Church. He was a lifetime member of the Elizabeth Volunteer Fire Company, a member of the Stephen Bayard Masonic Lodge #526 of Elizabeth, Syria Shriners and the Scottish Rite. Born March 3, 1938 in California, PA, he was a son of the late George, Sr. and Lena (Inks) Campbell and husband of the late Elsbeth "Bette" L. (Nissen) Campbell and Nora (Nanns) Campbell Swetits. He is survived by a son, Frank Clark (Leslie) Campbell of Chesapeake, VA; two granddaughters, Lauren (Wesley) Gray and Amanda Campbell, both of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Betty Dean of Roscoe; also nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by siblings, Robert Campbell, Thelma Tyhonas, Dorothy White and George Campbell, Jr. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 2-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mark Clark officiating. Private burial in Highland Cemetery, California, PA.
