Edward N. Welty

Edward N. Welty, age 65, of West Elizabeth, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025 in Jefferson Hospital. He was a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church. A registered nurse for more than 30 years, he worked mostly in the cardiac cath lab. He had a great work ethic and worked all over the country including Alaska and Hawaii, and spent a lot of time in Georgia, Florida and Texas. Born April 28, 1960 in New Eagle, he was a son of Robert N. and Dorothy (Kemp) Welty of West Elizabeth. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Carolyn Welty Ralph of Irwin and Robert G. (Cathy) Welty of West Elizabeth; aunt, Carolyn Rockwell of Elizabeth; nieces, Nicole and Emaly; and nephews, George and Eli. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Robert Rockwell. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth, on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be Friday, June 6, 2025 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ed. Pope officiating. Private burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Park.
