Donna (Snyder) Bowers

Donna (Snyder) Bowers, age 82, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at home. She was a member of First Evangelical Free Church in McKeesport, where she was a member of the Ladies White Cross Missionary Society. She was a volunteer at Elizabeth Boro Clergy Food Bank and a former member of Elizabeth Wesleyan Church. Born December 21, 1937 in Star Junction, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Faye (Askey) Snyder. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, H. Glenn Bowers Jr.; children, Pastor Charles (Rosella) Bowers of Morgantown, WV, Stephen (Sarah) Bowers of Clarkson, KY and Edward Bowers of Greenock; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;  sisters, Judy Armstrong of Confluence and Sandy Martinelli of Elizabeth Twp.; also, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 1 PM until the time of service at 5 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kirk Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to First Evangelical Free Church, 4001 University Drive, McKeesport, PA 15132. In order to comply with Covid-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited to 25 people at any given time inside the funeral home. Guests are required to wear masks and follow CDC social distancing guidelines. You may be asked to limit your visiting time so that all guests will have an opportunity to pay their respects. The family would like to express their understanding to those who are unable to attend due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
