Donald Taylor, age 92, of Elizabeth Twp., formerly of Clairton, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Jefferson Hospital. He was a member of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth Twp. An educator for more than 30 years, he was a former Clairton High School History teacher and former chairman of Social Sciences at Community College of Allegheny County, South Campus. He was a great softball player and played first base for several mill and church leagues. He was a devoted husband and loving father. Born April 16, 1931 in Cambridge, Ohio, he was a son of the late Carl and Margaret (Davis) Taylor. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bette Lou (Percy) Taylor; children, Holly (Dan Nickerson) Taylor of Limerick and Scott Taylor of Clairton; grandchildren, Devon Langston of Tampa, FL and Ryann Gephart of Limerick; also, nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Edward Taylor. No visitation or services are planned.
