Dollie Whiting

Dollie Whiting, age 99 of Elizabeth Boro., passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela. A member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church, Dollie was a former self employed beautician. Born in Glassport on May 17, 1924, she was the wife of the late Raymond A. Whiting who died on March 10, 2012. She is survived by two daughters, Marsha (the late Michael) Dujmic of White Oak and Carolyn W. (the late James) Homer of Elizabeth Boro; three grandchildren, Jana Homer of Elizabeth Boro, Lauren Holman of Elizabeth Boro, and James (Laura) Homer of Elizabeth Twp.; twin great-grandsons, Landon and Wyatt Holman; three sisters, Shirley Gay of St. Petersburg, Fla., Patricia Piazza of Inverness, Fla., and Beverly Wissing of Murphy, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Wilson; and two brothers, James and Alfred Cope. Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth. A service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 12Noon on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Reverend Jack H. Piper to officiate. Burial will follow at Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
