Dawn (Fedorka) Orndoff

Dawn Orndoff, age 80, of Forward Twp., formerly of Bayonne, NJ, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 in the comfort of her home. She had a lifelong love of teaching, with more than 40 years of experience with the Greensburg Correctional Facility as a reading specialist, various public schools, and retiring after 24 years in the Jersey City Public School District. She was an avid reader and loved dancing and cutting grass and had quite the sense of humor. Born February 14, 1946 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late John G. and Anna (Hopey) Fedorka. She is survived by her daughter, Heidi Orndoff of Fajardo, Puerto Rico; grandson, Caisen Cruz; sister, Patricia Bejger of Elizabeth; brother, John "Jay” (Lynne) Fedorka of Canonsburg; niece, Jill (Russ) Bejger-Frederick of Elizabeth Twp.; and nephew, Ted Bejger of Blaine Hill. No visitation or services are planned as she wished for cremation. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth.
