David L. Veres, age 73, of Pleasant Hills, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Whitehall Borough Skilled Nursing. He was semi-retired after 36 years as a public relations consultant for the David L. Veres Company in Pleasant Hills. He had a passion for aviation and World War II history. He was an avid plane modeler in his younger years and was a member of the International Plastic Modelers Society for many years. He enjoyed martial arts, primarily Judo. Born March 6, 1952 in Charleroi, he was a son of the late Milan J. and Dolores (Sedlak) Veres. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judi H. (Hajel) Veres; children, Rachel Veres of Pleasant Hills, Benjamin (Ashley) Veres of Cranberry Twp., Leah Veres of Pleasant Hills and Jonathan (Caitlin Crall) Veres of Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Nayla Veres; siblings, Joseph (Paula) Veres, Beth (Larry) Pansino, Dale (Cathi) Veres, Jean (Bob) Muir and Jennifer (Michael) Rubin; also, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A blessing will be Friday, April 4, 2025 at 10 AM at the funeral home with the Rev. Edwin J. Wichman officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
