David Alan "Beamer" Stanton, age 74, of Elizabeth, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025 surrounded by his family at home. Born October 20, 1950 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late George Hall and Madelyn Marie (Hibbs) Stanton. David retired from Bettis Atomic Laboratory in West Mifflin where he worked as a telecommunications analyst. He was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth, a member of the Star Trek group, USS Galaway, an avid Disney and Star Trek fan, and a poker enthusiast. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. David is survived by his wife Patti A. (Kubit) Stanton; daughters Megan Marie (Jerry) Grefenstette of Pittsburgh and Erin Lee (Scott) Huwalt of South Park; grandchildren Maura, Zachary and Daniel; sister Diane (William) Riley of Elizabeth; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Joshua and brother Duane "JR" Stanton. Friends will be received at the Daniel F. Bekavac Funeral Home & Crematory, McKeesport on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 3 PM to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church, Elizabeth with Rev. Thomas J. Burke officiating. EVERYONE IS TO MEET AT THE CHURCH. Burial is private at the request of the family.
