David Singer

David Singer, age 52 of Clairton, lost his two-year battle with cancer on Thursday, May 21, 2026 and passed away peacefully in Allegheny General Hospital.  Born July 20, 1973 in McKeesport, he was a son of Rose Marie (McKee) Cater and the late Charles Singer.  Besides his mother, he is survived by his brothers Patrick, Chris, and Mark Singer; and many dear friends, including Ed Foster -- with whom he had been a caregiver for several years - Evelyn Stoutamire - a good friend and co-worker - and Russell "Brian" Cain.  He will also be dearly missed by his neighbors Eric Stoddart and the Butler family, who he was always willing to help out whenever he was needed. 

Dave graduated from McKeesport High School, Class of 1991.  He earned his associates degree in Avionic Electronics at Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics in West Mifflin.  Dave worker at US Steel, Clairton Works, BAU Plastics, and as a caregiver for many years. 

Dave lived his life the way he wanted.  He loved to cook for others, often bringing food to his friends even after he could no longer eat the food he prepared.  Dave enjoyed having a drink at his frequent backyard barbeques.  He always knew what was going on around town and always had a good story to tell.  Dave was generous, kind, and had a smart sense of humor that always brought about a laugh.  The world will be a little dimmer without him.  

Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, Clairton, on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM until concluding with a with a Celebration of Life Service from 7:30 PM to 8 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dave's name should be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
